Fever’s Candlelight Concert series brings Halloween music and horror movie soundtracks to the Corn Exchange in Rochester

From John Carpenter’s creepy film scores to spine-tingling family favourites like the Addams Family, movie soundtracks can help set a truly terrifying tone at Halloween.
If you’re a real horror fan, why not kick things up a notch by hearing some of the eeriest songs from the screen performed after dark at a candlelight concert?
The Halloween-themed concert, which comes to Rochester’s Corn Exchange this autumn, will see famous soundtracks, scores and songs performed by a group of talented classical musicians.
The venue, located in the Northgate area just off of Rochester High Street, will be decked out with pumpkins, candelabras and autumn leaves to get you in the mood for the spooky season.
The artists, illuminated by thousands of glowing candles, will perform music from genre-defining horror films such as Halloween and Psycho.
The concert is suitable for children aged 8 and over and will also include tunes from classic family movies like Ghostbusters, the Addams Family and the Nightmare Before Christmas.
It’s not all about the big screen; fans of Netflix sci-fi show Stranger Things might recognise a number or two, while children of the 1980s can enjoy a hit of nostalgia with a classical rendition of Michael Jackson’s Thriller.
The hour-long concert will be performed by Weddington Strings, a Canterbury-based string quartet.
The group take part in numerous concerts by Fever - the company behind the Candlelight series - and can also be hired for private functions.
Ticket prices are tiered, with Premium seats nearest the stage costing £48 per person and the cheapest seats available for £20. You can book tickets online here.
The concert takes place on Friday, October 18 at 8.30pm.
