Put your best paw forward as the UK’s largest dog show visits Kent once again.
The Paws in the Park dog show is expected to bring visitors from across the county - and their four-legged friends - to the Kent Showground in Detling, near Maidstone, for a weekend in September.
Filled with exciting activities for dogs and their owners to enjoy together, the autumn show will return to the showground on Saturday, September 17 and Sunday, September 18.
This year, the programme includes dog games, activities, sports, competitions and merchandise, all packed into the two-day event.
Take a seat inside the arena and watch the impressive agility displays, K9 stunt shows and gun dog demonstrations which will take place throughout the weekend.
Get stuck in with the have-a-go doggy activities, such as flyball, agility courses, the K9 aqua shows and search and rescue, all run by trainers and enthusiasts who know the sports best.
If you think your pooch has a hidden talent or two, you can enter them into the show’s competitions. Winners in each category, which include aquazone, heelwork and the CaniCross challenge, will receive a fetching Paws in the Park rosette.
And, if you even think your pup could win Best in Show, you can enter them into the Paws in the Park Companion dog show on the day.
With so much to do all squeezed into this two-day event, you might be wondering how you’ll fit it all in.
This year, the show is offering camping tickets. Visitors can purchase a two-night pitch for your tent, caravan or camper and enjoy both days of the show just a short walk from the action.
Paws in the Park takes place on Saturday, September 17 and Sunday, September 18 at the Kent Showground in Detling. Book tickets online here.
