Paint the town red – and every other colour of the rainbow – this weekend as Pride bursts back onto the scene.
Margate Pride comes to Dreamland in Margate on Saturday, August 14, with Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle headlining.
The singer is part of a line-up that includes Lisa Maffia, Jodie Harsh, Sink the Pink DJs, Janet District Council, Amy Zing and the drag queens of Margate Pride, who will all be bringing the festival atmosphere to the event.
There will also be selected rides, street food and drinks all day, which runs from 3pm to 11pm, for the outdoor event.
Dreamland said of the event: “We can’t wait to see Margate celebrating Pride as it does best, with community, kindness, love and respect for each other.”
The timetable for the day will be:
Janet District Council 3pm to 4.30pm; Sink The Pink DJs 4.30pm to 6.45pm; Lisa Maffia 6.45pm to 7pm; Sink The Pink DJs 7pm to 7.15pm; Jodie Harsh 7.15pm to 8.45pm; Nadine Coyle 8.45pm to 9.30pm; Sink The Pink DJs 9.30pm to 11pm.
Melanie C headlined at the last Pride, in 2019.
The event is part of Dreamland’s Summer Series that also includes Ministry Of Sound Disco, soul star Billy Ocean and then London Grammar rounding things off on Tuesday, August 24.
There won’t be a Pride parade through the town’s streets this year, but there are events including a family morning from 11am. You can find out more at margatepride.org.uk
