Kent's Forest Live gigs in June 2015 will feature eccentric retro soul singer, Paloma Faith.

Paloma is the second-announced act to be revealed as part of Forestry Commission’s Forest Live, which will see her perform at Kent's Bedgebury Pinetum near Tunbridge Wells on Saturday, June 20.

Ivor Novello Award-winning singer-songwriter Tom Odell will play the night before her, on Friday, June 19.

It will represent a return to the woods gig for Paloma, 33, who performed to crowds at Bedgebury in 2013.

She said: “I am so excited to do the forest tour. I did it before and had such a wonderful time. We are very lucky in Britain to have such a beautiful and diverse landscape and I am excited to play for you there again. See you all in the summer.”

Paloma’s third album, A Perfect Contradiction, was one of the huge success stories of 2014 and her fastest selling album to date, certified platinum and scoring hit singles with Only Love Can Hurt Like This and Can’t Rely On You.

As a side project she notched up her first number one collaborating with British drum and bass duo Sigma on the single Changing. Debut album Do You Want The Truth Or Something Beautiful? and follow-up Fall To Grace have also contributed to sales of over 1.7 million in the UK alone; no mean feat for an artist only three records into their career.

Tom Odell, the Friday night headline act at Forest Live, released his debut album, Long Way Down, in June 2013 and it shot straight to number one.

Singles from the album including Can’t Pretend, Hold Me and the gargantuan hit Another Love.

This resulted in his achieving the ultimate industry accolade of Songwriter of the Year at the 2014 Ivor Novello Awards as well as previously winning the BRITs Critics’ Choice Award for 2013.

Chosen to perform the soundtrack to this year’s John Lewis Christmas advert, the 24-year-old has added his spine-tingling vocals to a cover of John Lennon’s classic Real Love, generating millions of YouTube views. Tom is currently in the studio recording his new album.

Forest Live is an independent programme organised by the Forestry Commission to bring forests to new audiences.

Income generated from ticket sales is spent on protecting, improving and expanding England’s forests and woodlands and increasing their value to people and wildlife. Over Forest Live’s 14 year history, money raised has contributed to a wide range of projects, from wildlife conservation to making improvements for visitors.
