Pumpkin picking sites to book for October and half term across Kent in 2021

It's almost time to pick up a pumpkin in time for Halloween.
Hunt down your perfect place to pick some up - and snap it for social media - with our guide to sites opening across Kent.
Pumpkin Moon, Maidstone, Rainham and Sittingbourne
Fresh from its first venture into sunflower picking this summer, Pumpkin Moon will have three sites open again for pumpkin pickers with booking required online. Tickets are from £1.50 to £2 with under twos free, with free parking, and pumpkins starting at £1.
Pre-booking is available for fields on Old Chatham Road, Sandling, Lower Rainham Road and Fox Hill in Bapchild near Sittingbourne which are open on weekends from Saturday, October 9 and then for half term.

PYO Felderland Farm, Sandwich
The farm is turning orange for its biggest pumpkin extravaganza with thousands of pumpkins at in its pumpkin patch; gourds; hot food and straw bale obstacles to enjoy. The fun begins on Sunday, October 10 when there will also be an on-site coffee shop, pizza to buy and photo opportunities galore. You'll need to book a time slot in advance, with entry £2 for adults and £1 for children.
PYO Milebush Farm, West Farleigh
The farm in Shingle Barn Lane, West Farleigh, opens for pumpkin picking on Saturday, October 2.
There will be corn on the cob, and a variety of squashes to buy in the farmyard. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome and there is no need to book. Opening times will be 10am to 4pm. Visit the Facebook page for more information here.
PYO Pumpkins, Sevington, near Ashford
Booking opens today at 10.30am, with picking dates on Saturday, October 16 and Sunday, October 17 and also for half term from Saturday, October 23 to Sunday, October 31, between 10am and 4pm.
There will be a £5 charge per car this year plus a small booking charge. Pumpkin prices will remain the same at between £1 and £5 per pumpkin. Visit the website and the Facebook here for details of booking.
PYO Pumpkins, Hoo
PYO Pumpkins at Beluncle Farm in Hoo will be opening on weekends from Saturday, October 9, with half term dates to be released nearer the time. You'll need to book in advance. It costs £7 per car. There will also be edible squash and corn to buy. Book on the website and check the Facebook page here.
Pumpkin Garden, Spadework, Offham
The charity near West Malling's pumpkin patch opens on Monday, October 4 through to Sunday, October 31. Weekdays and Saturdays it will open from 10am to 5pm and Sundays 10am to 4pm.
The garden will have a kiosk where you can also buy refreshments. There is no need to book and every pumpkin purchased supports the work of the charity, providing care, support and meaningful opportunities for adults with learning and other disabilities. Chilton Manor Farm, Highsted Farm, Sittingbourne
PYO pumpkin time starts again in mid October, with more details available soon. There is also a farm shop open six days a week, except Mondays, currently selling apples and pears. Details can be found here and on Facebook here.
Delf Farmshop and Nursery, Sandwich
The farm's pumpkin patch opens from Saturday, October 16 until Sunday, October 31. There is no need to book in advance and charges are for pumpkins only. There's also a chance to buy a hot drink and dinky donuts and have pictures taken with Little Gray the Farm Tractor. The farm shop also sells local fresh vegetables. Note: Pumpkin picking can be affected by wet weather, so it is always best to check before leaving home for your pre-booked visit.
