The Money, a new kind of theatre show, comes to Folkestone Quarterhouse

00:01, 22 April 2016

Here’s a new kind of theatre show: it has no script, no actors – and the audience decides what happens.

So, if you’re feeling decisive, you can bank on The Money. The thought-provoking show is a cross between a game and a theatrical performance.

Audience members can choose to be either a Silent Witness and simply watch, or a Benefactor and take part in coming to a unanimous decision about how to spend a pot of real cash.

If they decide before the clock ticks down, they get to spend it. If not, it rolls on to a new group.

You can become a Benefactor by donating as much as you can and then work with other audience members to decide how to spend the money. You have 90 minutes to come to a decision on how to splash the cash. You can be as creative as you like, but keep within the law!

The Money is at Folkestone Quarterhouse on Saturday, April 23, at 8pm; Friday, April 29, at 8pm; and Saturday, April 30 at 5pm and 8pm.

Benefactor tickets are a minimum of £10 with the option to invest more; tickets for Silent Witnesses are £12.
