Directed by George C Wolfe, the film stars Viola Davis and the late Chadwick Boseman. Tensions rise when blues singer Ma and her band gather at a recording studio in Chicago in 1927.

Unmissable - Stellar in all aspects.
Recommendable - Thoroughly entertaining, solid acting and an engaging story.
Watchable - Enough enjoyable moments to sit through, but average
