Rock band Reef to perform at Dreamland’s Ballroom in Margate this April
05:00, 05 April 2023
Rock band Reef will be visiting the county this spring, six months later than planned.
The group, who will be headlining a concert at Dreamland in Margate, were originally scheduled to perform at the venue in October.
However, the event - along with a number of their other tour dates - was cancelled due to “circumstances beyond [the band’s] control”.
The dates were rescheduled for the spring, including their concert at Dreamland’s indoor Ballroom venue, with all original tickets still valid.
Reef, who hail from the same town as the UK’s biggest music festival, Glastonbury, began finding success in the mid-1990s after supporting artists such as the Rolling Stones and Paul Weller.
The release of their 1996 single Place Your Hands saw the band reach the UK Top 10 Singles Chart. It has since become the band’s biggest single to date.
Reef have become well-known for performing on the country’s festival circuit during the summer months, having played at the likes of Reading Festival, Glastonbury Festival and the Isle of Wight Festival.
The band’s line-up includes founding members vocalist Gary Stringer and bassist Jack Bessant, and guitarist Jesse Wood, who is the son of Rolling Stones musician Ronnie Wood.
Their most recent album, Shoot Me Your Ace, was released in 2022 and reached the UK Top 20 Albums Chart.
Reef will be at the Ballroom, Dreamland, on Saturday, April 15. You can book tickets online here.
If you purchased tickets to the original concert in October 2022, your tickets are still valid for the new date in April.
