Rock Choir is the country’s largest contemporary choir with more than 24,000 members – although not all of them perform on the same stage at once!

More than 500 members of Rock Choir based in several Kent towns will be making an appearance on the stage at Hever Festival on three evenings.

Their appearance follows a debut by Tonbridge Rock Choir at the festival in 2014.

Members from Maidstone, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks and Orpington, along with members from Crowborough, will be entertaining with unique versions of classics and up-to-the-minute hits from artists including Queen, Jess Glynne, Bon Jovi, Cyndi Lauper and Katy Perry.

Festival director Anna Skinner said: “We are delighted to be hosting Rock Choir once again – and this year with so many more singers!

“It is important for Hever Festival that we provide a vibrant entertainments venue for local people to both watch and take part in great shows. Rock Choir events do both.”

Rock Choir encourages anyone and everyone to sing – there are no auditions and members do not need to read music. They only need to enjoy singing.

Sevenoaks, Tunbridge Wells and Crowborough choirs will perform on Thursday, July 14, and Orpington and Maidstone on Saturday, July 23. Tonbridge choir will be on stage on Sunday, July 24.

Collections will be made for the Hospice in the Weald, Bromley MIND and the Heart of Kent Hospice.
