Celebrities will be lining up to be judged in Loose, Maidstone this weekend - in scarecrow form.

The popular annual Loose Scarecrow Festival will run from Saturday, September 21 until Sunday, September 29, with gardens across the village being decorated with scarecrows from the traditional to the wacky and wonderful.

The event is a fun activity for family to spot the scarecrows and find letters for clues on a trail sheet.

Trail sheets cost £2 and are available from Loose Post Office or The Chequers pub on Old Loose Hill or the Walnut Tree pub in Loose Road.

On both Sundays between 2pm and 4pm, refreshments will be served at the village church for those taking part.
