A popular Kent charity is on the lookout for more staff to help provide high quality care for disabled children as well as adults.
SNAAP (Special Needs Advisory and Activities Project) offers a big helping hand to hundreds of families throughout East Kent by assisting them in getting access to suitable leisure activities both after school and during school holidays.
Carrie Wood - who is the founder and manager of SNAAP - has launched a recruitment drive in an effort to bring in more Play Support Workers and Play Support Leads.

"There are currently thousands of disabled children in the area and our primary aim is to help parents take their children to public areas where they won't feel overwhelmed," said Carrie.
“There is a lot to do when it comes to looking after disabled children. We can help by providing families with support services, playschemes during the holiday periods, term time clubs and a specialist toy and book lending library.
Founded back in 2003, SNAAP also rents an accessible beach hut in Whitstable and have a Portable Hoist and McClaren Major Buggy available for hire.
The charity has continued to go from strength to strength but as the demand for help goes up, so has the need for more support workers.

“Our staff help to develop essential skills, encourage positive behaviour and ensure children are safe and having fun,” continued Carrie.
“But above all, they must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of working with children or adults with a disability.
“The closing date for applications is Thursday, January 30 while interviews will take place in the week commencing Monday, February 17.”
