JAMES ACASTER
Mock the Week favourite James Acaster will be bringing his Reset show to the Gulbenkian, Canterbury on Saturday, October 8 for a sell-out evening. Named Best Comedy Show at this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe, it sees him relay the improbable succession of events which led to him being entered into a witness protection programme.
James, who is also a writer, said of his show: “This is a show for anyone who has done/wants to do/doesn’t want to do/could do/has never done or will never do jury duty.”

MARCUS BRIGSTOCKE
Why are people drinking kale juice? This, and many other issues, are on Marcus Brigstocke’s mind as he heads to Kent with his new tour Why The Long Face?
He also covers Ukip, Putin, and Trump – and all with a little bit of wild-eyed, incredulous, livid ranting.
A familiar voice on Radio 4 in the likes of I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue and Just a Minute, Marcus has also popped up on QI and Have I Got News For You.
He will be performing at the Brook Theatre, Chatham on October 12, Shirley Hall in Canterbury on October 27 and the Trinity Theatre in Tunbridge Wells on November 24. For details visit marcusbrigstocke.com
MILES JUPP
Astronauts, regrets, social media and hipsters. Stand-up comedian, actor and thinker Miles Jupp hits the road in a freshly-ironed shirt to try and make sense of everything. He will be bringing Songs of Freedom to the Theatre Royal, Margate, on Wednesday, October 12.

SIMON MUNNERY
Comedy stalwart and innovator Simon Munnery is touring his latest show Standing Still.
The Chortle Award winner has had a 30-year stand-up career and has appeared on a host of TV and radio shows including Radio 4’s Where Did It All Go Wrong?
Simon will be at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury on Thursday, October 13. For tickets call 01227 787787 or visit marlowetheatre.co.uk
SEANN WALSH
Observational comic Seann Walsh is stopping off in Kent twice with his One For The Road show. He’ll be heading for the Trinity Theatre in Tunbridge Wells on Friday, October 7 and the Hazlitt Theatre in Maidstone on Friday, October 14. Seann’s new show spots the absurdity in everything and then converts it to perfectly delivered stand-up comedy.
You might have seen him on TV but catch him live to see him work the room and reduce crowds to hysterics.
For tickets at £17, visit trinitytheatre.net or call 01892 678678. Tickets to the Hazlitt show, at £15.50, are almost sold out. To book, visit parkwoodtheatres.co.uk or call 01622 758611.
JOSH WIDDICOMBE
Since he’s been away from stand-up Josh Widdicombe has been working hard on other things... but don’t worry he has still found time to get irritated about plenty of things that he will be covering in his new tour.
Fresh from Rio with the award-winning show The Last Leg – part of the Paralympic coverage on Channel 4 – the former sports journalist turned comedian has also penned his own critically acclaimed sitcom JOSH.
His tour What Do I Do Now… promises exasperated gripes with his endless charm and will be at the Assembly Hall in Tunbridge Wells on Thursday, October 13, the Brook Theatre in Chatham on Thursday, October 27, the Orchard Theatre in Dartford on Thursday, November 10 and the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury on Monday, November 28.
