Sevenoaks-born Strictly star Anton Du Beke and his partner Erin Boag will be bringing a taste of Hollywood to Kent early next year.
Anton may have made a slightly early exit from the BBC dance competition with his partner Ruth Langsford, but it means all the more time to prepare for rehearsals for his latest tour with professional partner Erin Boag.
The new tour - their tenth together - Broadway to Hollywood, comes to the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury in February.
Erin said of her partner's Strictly experience this year: "I always look forward to Strictly - it is a given these days isn't it? To me it means it is winter.
"I know Anton and Ruth had a great time. She is lovely and bubbly and fun to be with and he had such a nice time, but it was their time to go. Although Anton isn't competing now, Strictly still has a hold of you til the end, but it does mean he will be more refreshed for rehearsals for the tour when we start."
Praising both contestants Debbie McGee and Alexandra Burke for their dancing abilities, she said of Debbie she "dances with the energy of someone half her age" and of Alexandra she "oozes charisma."
Anton and Erin go into rehearsals immediately after Christmas for their show which also features Strictly vocalist Lance Ellington, along with ensemble dancers and the 25-piece London Concert Orchestra conducted by Richard Balcombe, as well as classics such as Somewhere in Time, Mr Bojangles, Downtown and New York, New York.
The show will also feature a Q and A session with the audience.
Anton said: "This will be our tenth tour so we really hope you will be able to join us in celebrating a decade of dance.”
The show will be at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury on Thursday, February 15 and Friday, February 16. For tickets call 01227 787787 or visit marlowetheatre.com
