Platinum-selling artist and singer, Shakin’ Stevens rocked fans who went along to The Orchard Theatre, in Dartford, last night (Wednesday).
He was performing there as part of his Echoes of Our Times tour 2017, which coincides with release of his 12th studio album, of the same name.
The tour sees the singer backed by a nine piece ensemble complete with brass section and ever changing guitars and music fans got a real treat.
The product is a roller-coaster ride of a variety of music and anyone who loves rock classics were dancing in the aisles at the Dartford venue.
The show opened with rousing ballads of war remembrance and hardship in the copper mining community, certainly reflecting on the performer's ancestral past.
More traditional blues music then followed before he visited the highly popular Hot Dog in true Shakin’ Stevens fashion.
After the expected Rock and Roll numbers the audience was treated to an amazing blues twist to This Ole House that blew the whole house away.
He certainly didn’t disappoint when he performed Green Door which provided the finale to everyone’s night.
The show clearly portrayed his passion for blues, his roots, Americana and classic rock combining his ancestral links.
He’s a true performer and gave us a few surprises combining his song writing and storytelling skills.
If you missed the stunning performance at Dartford, you can still go and see him at other venues across the country.
