Preparations are underway for the annual Salute to the ‘40s event, taking place at the Historic Dockyard Chatham this month.
Offering an insight into life on the Home Front during the 1940s, it offers entertainment for all ages, including live music, vintage stalls, period civilian scenes, military re-enactments and vintage vehicle displays.
The Spirit of Kent Spitfire from Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar will also perform a 20 minute display each day with full commentary accompanied by classic theme tunes.
Salute to the ‘40s is supported by Best of British Magazine and the KM Group.
It is taking place on Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22.
Day passes are priced £15 for adults, £9 for children and £40 for a family. Discounts are available for advance purchases and two day tickets. For information visit www.thedockyard.co.uk/salutetothe40s
