Singer songwriter Ben Montague will be joining Simply Red at their concert in Kent this summer.
Ben, who has played alongside The Wanted, Stereophonics, Suzanne Vega and Lawson, will join the band for their 30th anniversary concert at the Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence in Canterbury on Saturday, June 18.
His single We Start Over was made Record of the Week on Radio 2.
He said: "Having toured with Simply Red last year on their Big Love tour, which was brilliant fun, I am so pleased to be joining them once again at the Kent concert. It is such an honour to work with one of our country’s most iconic bands and to be a part of their 30th anniversary comeback."
Simply Red, whose landmark albums including Picture Book, Men and Women, A New Flame and Stars have sold more than 60 million copies worldwide toured last year for the release of their album Big Love, and the tour has continued due to popular demand.
Lead singer Mick Hucknall said: "It’s a superb ground in a great location and we have many fans in the area who we know will enjoy our greatest hits. Ben has toured with us before and was incredibly popular at every concert so we are pleased to welcome him back."
