Rock band The Darkness have announced they will play a date in Kent the day their new album is released.
The band, who last played in the county at Ramblin' Man in Maidstone in 2019, will play Margate Winter Gardens, launching their UK headline tour.
Fans will be treated to new songs from the album, Motorheart, which releases on Friday, November 19 - the date they are in Margate - as well as hits from across their award-winning, platinum selling back catalogue, along with support from Massive Wagons.
The band, Justin Hawkins, Dan Hawkins, Rufus Tiger Taylor and Frankie Poullain, have released new single It’s Love, Jim from the forthcoming album.
Frontman Justin says of the single modestly: “This song (herein referred to as “she/her”) is all about an extra-terrestrial goddess of other worldly beauty. She’s fast, powerful, not of this earth. Her sensual symphony nestles in your ear and lays mind eggs that seep confidence liquid into your brains. You’ll feel invincible all day long, and everything will go right after you hear it.
"Yeah, so it’s really catchy and should be No.1 all around the world please.”
It’s Love, Jim follows singles Jussy’s Girl and Nobody Can See Me Cry.
To book tickets for the show at Margate Winter Gardens on Friday, November 19, costing £32.50 plus a booking fee, click here.
