Noel Fielding, Mark Thomas and Hal Cruttenden playing live comedy in Kent

12:00, 01 December 2015

Mark Thomas

Our right to roam is the focus for Mark Thomas in his acclaimed new show, Trespass. Following a sold-out season at the Edinburgh Fringe, the politically active comic is taking his latest musings on the road.

In Trespass, he talks about the ways in which Britain’s communal green spaces have been gradually sold off or closed to the public and considers how our cities could be made into playgrounds once again.

He also wonders how the ramblers of the 1930s would have responded to today’s restrictions. With his usual mischievous approach, Mark uses humour to explore serious issues in a highly entertaining way.

The show is at the Horsebridge Centre in Whitstable at 8pm on Friday, December 4. Tickets cost £13 in advance or £15 on the door.

Noel Fielding

Experience an evening of hilarity and mystery with Noel Fielding’s surreal live comedy show. Since rising to fame as laidback Vince in cult TV show the Mighty Boosh, Noel has become one of our most innovative comic stars. His fan base continued to grow when he joined music quiz Never Mind The Buzzcocks as a regular team captain, which was followed by other successes such as his own TV show, Luxury Comedy.

The Perrier Best Newcomer winner is now on his first live tour for five years. Fans can see some of his most famous characters, such as The Moon and Fantasy Man, and be entertained by fellow Mighty Boosh stars, Mike Fielding and Tom Meeton.

An Evening With Noel Fielding is at Margate Winter Gardens on Wednesday, December 9. The show starts at 8pm and tickets cost £25.

Straight Outta Cruttenden is his Hal’s first new live show since 2012’s Tough Luvvie – a production that only finished touring at the start of this year. More than 40,000 people flocked to hear Cruttenden’s comedy during that run and after a successful month at the Edinburgh Fringe, he is back on the road.

His latest targets include social media, school memories of Chancellor George Osborne and the 5:2 Diet. Fast becoming a household name, Hal has broadcast two BBC Radio 4 series and has two TV shows in development.

The show is now at the Gulbenkian Theatre, Canterbury on Saturday, December 5 at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £17 on 01227 769075 or at www.thegulbenkian.co.uk
