The concert is set to take place on Friday, June 2 at Mote Park. Tickets are on sale now and can be booked online here here.

Tony Hadley first rose to fame as the frontman of new wave band Spandau Ballet, who are best known for hits such as True, Gold and Through the Barricades.

Since the band’s split, Tony has released a number of albums as a solo artist and recently performed around the country on his 40th anniversary tour.

The singer will be joined at the ‘80s festival by BRIT Award-winning band Go West.

The band, first formed in 1982 by vocalist Peter Cox and guitarist Richard Drummie, gained popularity throughout the decade with hits such as We Close Our Eyes, Call Me and Faithful.

The duo were also featured on the Pretty Woman soundtrack in 1990 with their single, King of Wishful Thinking.

We Love the ‘80s will be making its debut this summer as part of the Park Live series of events.

Park Live is bringing a number of concerts, including Summer Love, Revival in the Park, Maid of Stone Festival and Rock the Mote, to Mote Park this year.

The one-day ‘80s celebration will also include street food vendors, a beer, cider and ale village, gin and prosecco bars, funfair rides and family activities.
