Craft in Focus fair in Canterbury: Quality craft that’s a bit different

The country’s finest contemporary artists and craftsmen will be back in the county this weekend.
Sculptures, handbags, artwork, silverware, jewellery, ceramics, clothing and furniture are just some of the items they will be displaying at the Craft in Focus fair in Canterbury.
Running from Friday, April 17 to Sunday, April 19, the popular annual event offers a chance to buy unique products of a quality that is rarely seen amongst the mass produced items on the high street. Visitors can also find out how the work is created.
Local craftsmen taking part include CAR Designs from Maidstone showing their silverware and jewellery, designer jewellers Daniel Wilds from Herne Bay and Elizabeth Everett from Woodchurch, Ian’s 4D glass sculptures from Margate and Romney Marsh Wools.
Craft in Focus is at Kent College, Whitstable Road, Canterbury. It opens at noon on Friday, April 17 closing at 5pm. Weekend opening is from 10am to 5pm. Admission is £4, free to accompanied under-14s. Visit www.craftinfocus.com or call 01622 747325.
