Packed with more than 100 stalls of local food and drink, Broadstairs Food Festival has something for everyone.
Set in Victoria Gardens, overlooking the sea, there is also a pop-up restaurant, food trail and cookery demonstration theatre, where well known chefs show off their skills.
Some of the highlights include a cheese pairing masterclass on Friday, September 30, when cheesemakers of Canterbury and Kingcott Dairy will be pairing with Biddenden’s Vineyard to challenge your tastebuds.
On Sunday, October 4, there will be a free wine tasting event between 11am and 3pm from a carefully selected list of wines at the Bottleneck in Charlotte Street.
Chairman Malcolm Cox said: “This amazing popular free event has grown from strength to strength since 2009 attracting over 50,000 people to the three-day weekend and more than 100 exhibitors with quality county produce to suit everyone.”
The chefs’ theatre has seen some big names over the years, from the Ambrette’s Dev Biswal to Paul Hollywood. Last year saw a visit by Broadstairs Great British Bake Off star Chetna Makan.
Set in Victoria Gardens, overlooking the sea, the festival isn’t just about food, as it also has children’s activities, face painting and a team from Skip 2 B Fit at the bandstand between 11am and 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.
