A two-day celebration promises to give foodies something to sink their teeth into.

Celebrity chefs, live cooking demonstrations and a village of beer, ale and cider are just some of the attractions which will be on offer at the Feast Festival of Food, Drink and Entertainment when it comes to Mote Park this summer.

The event is the latest venture from the team behind The Social, an all-day dance music show which will return to the town centre park in September after making its debut last year.

The food-focused weekend, which includes a fun fair and live bands, will take place on August 23 and August 24.

Organiser Luke Bendall, who works alongside Maidstone-born DJ Nic Fanciulli, said: “I’ve been to many food markets and festivals, and I always walk in and out in under two hours. We’ve decided to put on an event which really is a full, fun, family day out showcasing the best in all things food, drink and entertainment.”

Early bird tickets are £6 for adults and free for under 12s. Gates open at 11am until 9pm, with adults only from 8pm.

Local caterers and vendors can apply to host a stand or pop-up restaurant at Feast by emailing luke@thesocialfoodfestival.com.
