Broadstairs Food Festival is hosting its second event of the year, offering visitors a packed programme of cookery workshops, drinks masterclasses and artisan traders.
The festival, which takes place at the cliff top site of Victoria Gardens, will be serving up tasty treats for three days.
Visitors will be able to sample food from more than 100 independent food and drink producers. Some of the dishes expected to be on offer include South African street food from the Saffa Bru, sourdough toasties from Melt and sweet crepes from Hits the Spot.
Throughout the weekend, there will also be masterclasses and demonstrations from top chefs, some of which will be free to enter.
There will also be a number of live cookery events taking place in the Kitchen Theatre which are ticketed individually, or you can purchase a Kitchen Theatre Weekend Ticket.
Chefs making an appearance include Craig Edgell from Buoy and Oyster in Margate, Sammy Basile from Chapel House Estate in Ramsgate and Joanne Wilson from Sooshi Sushi in Whitstable.
Classes and demonstrations on offer range from Italian/Asian fusion to Michelin star cooking, gluten-free cakes and vegan sushi.
There will also be workshops such as Kentish wine and cheese pairings from Cheesemakers of Canterbury and Biddenden Vineyards, gin tastings from Anno Distillers near Tonbridge and how to forage for food in the wild with Herne Bay’s Forth and Forage.
As well as tucking into delicious dishes, you can also buy produce from a range of artisan producers to take home with you, including organic fudge, toffee vodka, fresh garlic, dog biscuits, craft beer, English wine and New Zealand honey.
The Broadstairs Food Festival takes place from Friday, September 30 to Sunday, October 2. The festival is free to enter, but some events are ticketed individually. Find out more here.
