Travelling into London for a gig sounds like a lot of hassle and, when you’re stuck in city traffic for hours or catching your third train of the evening, you might wonder if it’s even worth it.

However, there’s good news for Kent’s music lovers as it might be easier than you think to see some of your favourite artists performing in the capital this year.

The O2 is London’s biggest arena and has hosted some of the most famous artists in the world, from Madonna to Elton John - and the best part is, for many Kent residents, it’s less than an hour away.

The venue can be reached by car in around 30 minutes from Dartford and Gravesend, 40 minutes from Sevenoaks and West Malling, and it’s less than an hour from Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells and the Medway towns.

There’s also no need to go into central London when driving to the arena so you can avoid the congestion charge, and there’s plenty of parking on-site which you can pre-book ahead of the concert.

You can also hop on the high-speed train, which runs direct from Thanet via Ashford, Dover, Faversham, Canterbury and Medway straight to Stratford International. From there, The O2 is just three stops on the underground’s Jubilee Line.

So, with all that in mind, we’ve got 10 artists performing at the prestigious venue this year that might be worth taking the trip to London to see…
