It’s once again time to wave your wands for Harry Potter Book Night, which will see fans of the infamous tales gather at book shops and libraries across Kent.

Taking place tonight (Thursday, February 6), this year’s theme is the Triwizard Tournament.

The tournament was a battle between Harry and three other champions in JK Rowling’s fourth book in the series, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, where the young students face challenges to test their magical prowess.

But are you brave enough to put your name in the goblet?

Visitors to Waterstones in Rose Lane, Canterbury will need to decide whether they are Gryffindor or Slytherin - or perhaps Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw - and then complete challenges to earn points for their chosen house.

The event will run from 3.30pm to 5.30pm and the winners will have their house banner put up in the store.

Hunt for the golden snitch, make your own wand and decorate a dragon egg at Waterstones in Tunbridge Wells between 5pm and 7pm, when the book shop will be transformed into a mystical wonderland.

There will be prizes up for best costumes - will you come as Hermoine or pull on a bushy beard as Hagrid?
