The Christians are among the line-up for a series of intimate concerts this bank holiday weekend.

The band, who had huge success in the 80s and early 90s after their first album, The Christians, topped the charts and second, Colour, knocked Phil Collins off the top spot, are still lead by Garry Christian.

They join other big names for the spring series of concerts at Rye, from Thursday, May 3 to Bank Holiday Monday, held at St Mary's Church.

Kicking off the programme will be singer Russell Watson, who has sold over seven million albums, and earned himself the title of People's Tenor.
