Where to see Father Christmas this weekend in Kent with new grottos opening

Do you know someone wanting to see Santa? He'll be in situ at grottos across the county this weekend. Here's our guide to the latest ones opening:
KENT LIFE CHRISTMAS, MAIDSTONE
Santa's Grotto opens on Saturday, November 30 and at weekends and also selected dates throughout December. The Land Train, driven by the Head Elf takes children to meet Father Christmas. Decorating festive gingerbread is on the menu and mince pies and Kentish cider for grown-ups. A living Farm Nativity will be on Sunday, December 8. Book at kentlife.org.uk.
SANTA AT HOWLETTS, CANTERBURY
Father Christmas and his merry elves take time out of their busy schedule, to bring some festive joy from Saturday, November 30 at weekends until Sunday, December 15 and then daily from Tuesday, December 17 to Monday, December 23. Each child will receive a Christmas gift. Entry to Santa’s Grotto is £10 per child with a valid day entry ticket. Book tickets at aspinallfoundation.org/santa
SANTA, RARE BREEDS CENTRE, ASHFORD
Enjoy an old fashioned style Christmas as Santa arrives at the Rare Breeds Centre near Ashford on Saturday, November 30 and Sunday, December 1. SANTA PAWS AT IGHTHAM MOTE & WHITEFRIARS, CANTERBURY
Santa Paws will get tails wagging at the National Trust site near Borough Green this weekend, on Saturday, November 30 and Sunday, December 1. The retired guide dog, dressed as Santa, will be giving out dog treats to canine visitors. Festivities run until Monday, December 23 and from Boxing Day to Sunday, January 5, with a festive market and Father Christmas. There will be a Victorian toys trail and crafts. Canterbury's Santa’s grotto opens from Saturday, November 30, and will have special Santa Paws sessions for well-behaved pooches on Wednesday, December 4 and Wednesday, December 11 between 11am and 4pm, for £4 per dog. Father Christmas will be in the magical grotto in Whitefriars until Christmas Eve. Tickets for children cost £6 each. Details at whitefriars.co.uk
FATHER CHRISTMAS AT BEWL WATER, LAMBERHURST
Festive fun comes to the secret woodland wonderland at Bewl Water this weekend. Fairground rides, ice skating, Christmas crafts and marshmallow toasting on a fire pit are a bonus to meeting the elves and time with Father Christmas at the reservoir at Lamberhurst. It is open weekends in December, starting on Saturday, December 1, with the final weekend from Friday, December 21 to Christmas Eve. Tickets are £18 and £35 for children. REINDEER CENTRE, BETHERSDEN
The Reindeer Centre's grotto with Father Christmas is 150ft this year and has seven animated undercover scenes and the chance to meet the animals on site and feed the reindeer. Young visitors get a quality wrapped present from Santa, who is there until Christmas Eve. There's an artificial snow play area, and soft play climbing area. Book by clicking here.
BLUEWATER GROTTO
The outdoor, undercover ice rink is back this year with a new, separate children’s rink. Located by The Village next to the lakes and under a clear roof, the ice rink is wheelchair-accessible and there are penguin and seal skating aids available. The rinks are open until Sunday, January 5. The Santa’s Grotto welcomes children to a host of characters that will guide them through the story of The Nutcracker until Christmas Eve. SANTA SPECIALS, TUNBRIDGE WELLS
Take a ride on a Santa Special from Eridge to Tunbridge Wells and while on board, little ones get to meet Santa and receive a gift. Upon arrival at Tunbridge Wells West there's also a chance to meet him and have photos taken with him in his sleigh. The specials are this weekend on Saturday, November 30 and Sunday, December 1 and on selected dates throughout December up until Christmas Eve. Tickets start from £16. Book at spavalleyrailway.co.uk
