A man has been found dead at a block of flats after neighbours raised concerns for his welfare.
Police broke into the property in St Andrew's Close, Whitstable, yesterday afternoon and discovered a body, but say there are no suspicious circumstances.
The man, who is believed to be in his late 60s or early 70s, was said to stay at home much of the time and appeared to have few visitors.
Mum-of-two Amy Hook, 22, said: "We hadn't heard his music playing for a few days or seen anything of him so went and knocked on his door and there was no reply.
"But I could see a lot of unopened post had built up and there were other signs something wasn't right so we called the police.
"He was a quiet chap who kept himself to himself and I never saw any visitors. It's just so sad that he's passed away like this."
Police are still trying to contact any next of kin and a report has been prepared for the coroner.
