Alan Nichols search ends with body found in West Blean Nature Reserve

Police searching for missing Whitstable man Alan Nichols have found a body.
Officers were called by the Kent Search and Rescue Service to West Blean Nature Reserve at 8.30pm last night, where they discovered a body.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
Mr Nichols, 47, left his home in Whitstable at 6pm on Thursday, June 11 to take his dog for a walk but never returned.
Police were alerted as fears for his safety grew and were seen scouring West Blean and Thornden Woods outside Canterbury on Friday, June 12.
Mr Nichols's dog was found in his car, parked in a small car park next to the woods.
Specialist rescue teams and police dogs were then brought in to help with the search, which also stretched to various parts of Herne Bay and Whitstable.
Mr Nichols' family have been informed but formal identification has yet to take place.
