Whitstable teen charged in Belmont Road with assaulting three people and possessing drugs

A 16-year-old from Whitstable has been charged with assault and possession of drugs.
Police were called to a disturbance in Belmont Road, Whitstable, at about 4.20pm.
Officers attended the scene, and arrested the teen boy before charging him with three counts of common assault.
He allegedly assaulted three separate victims - two in Belmont Road, and the other near the Windsor House block of flats.
The teen was also charged with two counts of possession of Class B drugs - thought to be cannabis and amphetamine. He has been bailed and is due to appear at Canterbury Youth Court on June 17.
The incident happened last Monday (May 13), when eyewitnesses reported a police presence outside Windsor House.
