A 14-year-old boy has been airlifted to a London hospital with head injuries after being hit by a car in Whitstable.
Kent Police were called to Plough Lane at 2.20pm and the road remains closed.
The collision happened outside resident Jeannette Toogood's home and she was on scene helping.
She said: "Police have cordoned off the road and my granddaughter is very upset.
"She said the boy was crossing the road by the park on his bicycle when he was hit by the car.
"It wasn't going very fast but this has been an accident waiting to happen in our road.
"We get a lot of traffic and it is a busy area with people playing football, the park and the church. People have been parking on grass verges and it is time the council took notice."
