Traffic backed up for miles on a key route through Kent after a crash that has destroyed a caravan.
The A299 Thanet Way was shut eastbound near Whitstable following the incident, which saw a lorry collide with a van towing a caravan.
The crash happened near the turning for Long Reach roundabout and Whitstable, and has left traffic queuing past Yorkletts.
Police were called to the scene at about 12.40pm yesterday (September 9).
Shortly before 4pm, a spokesman said: "The road remains closed while recovery work is ongoing. No injuries have been reported."
Photos from the scene show a smashed up Bailey Scorpio caravan, with its contents and debris strewn across the road.
The road reopened at about 4.30pm yesterday but delays remained.
Paramedics were also called shortly before 1pm, but nobody required hospital treatment.
