Vandals damaged 18 cars in a leisure centre car park during a wrecking spree lasting just 20 minutes.
Police are asking for information after the cars parked in the Whitstable Leisure Centre car park in Tower Parade were all damaged yesterday morning.
The rampage lasted between 8.30am and 8.50am yesterday.
A 50-year-old local man has been arrested and is in custody while police carry out further enquiries.
Inspector Julien Lawton said: "Anyone who was in the area at the time and believes they witnessed the incident or saw anything suspicious, is asked to contact police.
"A number of owners have reported scratches caused to their cars and we would ask if anyone else believes their car was damaged and hasn’t reported it yet, to call us on 01843 222289 quoting ZY/2192/17."
Alternatively, contact Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
