Whitstable artist Catman sketches Leonardo Da Vinci's famous masterpiece Mona Lisa wearing a dress in Oxford Street

Whitstable street artist Catman has unveiled his latest urban masterpiece today after a sketch of the Mona Lisa wearing a thigh slit dress appeared in Oxford Street.

A portrait of Leonardo Da Vinci's famous masterpiece complete with the dress was drawn last night on a wall next to Wareham's antiques.

Speaking to Kent Online he said: "As well as urban art I love traditional art too.

"I really like the old masters so just decided it would be interesting to try and find some sort of way to fuse the two.

"I was only there five minutes this morning having a look and at least every other person that went past took a picture."

He revealed the artwork of his Facebook page today triggering a surge of support from fans.

Robin Coleman said: "This looks fantastic mate. I love it.."

While Madeline Bayford added: "Lucky Pasco! Another great addition to the town. We love Whitstable don't we? And Catman of course! Thank you ....."

Catman's work will be exhibited in the Show Off Gallery in Harbour Street from Wednesday June 4 to Tuesday, June 10.
