Officers have released a CCTV image after a man was punched in the head and left with serious injuries.

A man in his 20s was reportedly talking to a person in Oxford Street, Whitstable, when he was approached by another man and punched.

The assault, which happened at around 9.20pm on Saturday, September 9, reportedly continued until other people intervened.

The victim sustained serious head injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

As part of their enquiries, investigating officers are now able to issue a CCTV image of a man they would like to identify and speak to.
