Cyclist who died in Canterbury Road, Whitstable, named as 35-year-old David Thorman

A cyclist who died after a collision with a van on Friday night has been named locally as David Thorman.
The 35-year-old was fatally injured in the incident at 8.30pm in Canterbury Road, Whitstable, close to the junction with Saddleton Road.
A 21-year-old man, who was driving a white Vauxhall Vivaro van, was arrested following the crash.
He has since been released on police bail as officers from the serious collision investigation unit investigate.
Police on Sunday confirmed that he had been bailed until June 11, pending further enquiries. The accident happened hours after another road fatality in Chilham.
Floral tributes were left at the scene of the Whitstable tragedy over the weekend. One simply said: "Gutted. RIP Dave." The victim is understood to have previously studied in Thanet.
