A Kent man has been jailed after attempting to import drugs from the USA.
Felix Boo was sentenced to three years in prison after Border Force discovered a package with nearly 300g of cannabis inside.
The 24-year-old, from Whitstable, was sentenced at Canterbury Crown Court on Thursday after being stopped in May, 2022.
The interception led to officers carrying out a warrant at a property in the town where Boo was arrested on suspicion of drug offences.
A further search of his bedroom and garden shed uncovered further drugs, including ketamine and cocaine, along with £40,000 in cash and two £10,000 Rolex watches.
During analysis of his phone, police also found hundreds of messages relating to deals in the local area, and financial checks showed large amounts of money had been converted into cryptocurrency.
Boo admitted the offences and was charged with possession of class A and class B drugs with intent to supply, importation of class B drugs, and concealing or transferring criminal property.
Investigating officer Hannah Macrow said: “The sale of illegal drugs all too often leads to further crime, antisocial behaviour and misery for communities to deal with.
“I hope the sentence imposed on this man sends out a message to other drug dealers that police will catch up with them and jail awaits.”
