E-fit released in Belmont Road attempted robbery investigation

Police have released a computer generated image as part of an investigation into an attempted robbery in Whitstable.
Detectives investigating an attempted robbery in Whitstable have issued an e-fit of the suspect.
The victim, in her 40s, was walking along Belmont Road at 2am on Wednesday, September 12 when she heard someone behind her.
She turned around and saw a man. He made threats and demanded she hand over her bag.
The victim refused and shouted for help, but the suspect ran away in the direction of Millstrood Road.
Officers have released an e-fit of the suspect with the help of the victim, who was not injured during the incident.
He is described as white in his late 30s, with brown hair and was wearing a dark hooded top and dark trousers.
Anyone who witnessed the attempted robbery or recognises the man in the image is urged to call the appeal line on 01843 222289, quoting reference ZY/053990/18, or the anonymous Crimestoppers hotline on 0800 555 111.
