Man in 70s crashes car into lamppost in Tankerton Road, Whitstable

An elderly man had to be resuscitated after crashing into a high street lamppost.
Police and ambulance crews rushed to Tankerton Road, near Whitstable, at about 11.20pm on Saturday to reports a car had collided with a street light.
A man in his 70s was resuscitated at the scene, before being taken to Ashford's William Harvery hospital for further treatment.
An ambulance service spokesman said: "We were called to reports a car had hit a lamppost at approximately 11.20pm on Saturday.
"Ambulance crews attended the scene and a man, who required resuscitation, was taken to William Harvey Hospital in a serious condition."
