The police helicopter was scrambled to search for a man on the run from prison.
It circled over the area of Grimshill Road in Whitstable and was heard over areas of Herne Bay and Thanet from around 10.30pm last night.
The man was wanted by Sussex Police and reportedly thought to be at an address in Whitstable.
A search was carried out but he remains at large and inquiries are ongoing.
Police were also called to a crash in Grinsell Hill in Minster at around the same time.
A car overturned and two men were seen running from it.
The helicopter was used again to search for the men.
They were not found but police have identified one man and will be speaking to him later.
