Hundreds of homes in Whitstable have been left without electricity because of a power cut.
UK Power Networks reports on its website that the incident has been caused by an underground electricity cable faulting on the high voltage network.
More than 350 properties are said to be affected, including in the town high street.
Residents have been sent texts about the issue, which revealed 'a lot of work required on site'.
Engineers have been sent to investigate while a tweet from the company revealed that they are working to get temporary generators out to the area 'due to the amount of repairs required'.
Power was estimated to return between 2.30pm and 3.30pm today, but is now expected to come back between 6.30pm and 7.30pm.
UK Power Networks have been contacted for comment.
