A huge number of emergency services attended an incident in a town hosting a festival attended by thousands of people.
A number of police and ambulance vehicles were seen along the seafront at Tower Parade in Whitstable after what is understood to have been a road accident.
Pictures showed officers taping the road off, with a number of drivers being forced to turn back.
An air ambulance was also sent at around 10.30am.
It landed on the beach close to the scene and left at about 11.35am. It is understood to have headed back to base.
The road had reopened by 12.30am.
The town itself was busy as it hosted the Whitstable Rocks Oyster Festival, which started on Friday and continued today.
The free family event included a mud tug, children’s pottery workshops, a crabbing competition, kite-flying, and the blessing and landing of the oysters.
Emergency services have been contacted for more information.
