Inquest opens into death of trainee chef found in Clowes Wood, Chestfield, near Whitstable

An inquest has opened into the death of a trainee chef found in woodland near Whitstable.

Kent Search and Rescue crews discovered the body of James Amos on September 27 after he had expressed an intent to end his life.

Forensic vans and a large police cordon were seen for hours at the entrance to Clowes Wood, Chestfield that morning.

A post-mortem found the 24-year-old, of Swalecliffe Road, died of an overdose

Assistant coroner Joanne Andrews adjourned a full inquest until March 12.
