There were long tailbacks on the Thanet Way this morning following an incident on the London- bound carriageway.
It happened around 6.15am on the A299 near Whitstable and involved a single vehicle, causing slow-moving traffic to quickly back up for several miles.
Emergency services were called to the scene but a police spokesman said there are no serious injuries and the damaged car was removed from the carriageway.
Traffic is now said to be flowing freely.
