Whitstable: Lorry crashes into bridge near Chestfield and Swalecliffe train station

A driver reportedly wedged his lorry under a bridge causing delays for motorists and train passengers this afternoon.
Southeastern tweeted that delays were expected for trains between Faversham and Margate after a lorry struck the bridge in Herne Bay Road near Chestfield and Swalecliffe station just after noon.
The company has since posted an update that trains are no longer affected by the crash.
