Crash on A299 New Thanet Way in Whitstable

A woman has been taken to hospital after a crash on the Thanet Way.
There were long delays this morning on the coast-bound stretch of the A299 near Clapham Hill, Whitstable.
Police have confirmed they were called to the one-vehicle collision at 10.40am.
"Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and a woman was taken to a local hospital," a spokesman for the force said.
"The carriageway was closed while the incident was responded to but reopened shortly before midday."
An ambulance service spokesman confirmed crews attended the scene and "one person was taken to hospital for further treatment".
Kent Highways tweeted about the incident shortly before 11.30am today.
"Reports of a road traffic collision coastbound on A299 Thanet Way, Whitstable.
"Expect delays and allow extra time for your journey."
Traffic information website Inrix earlier reported there awere queues of two miles due to the incident, which it says happened between Clapham Hill and Herne Bay.
