A potentially important witness of an attack on a man and woman is being sought by police.
The pair were taken to hospital following the assault in Whitstable High Street, near the junction with Harbour Street.
The man is reported to have suffered serious facial injuries. They have since been discharged.
Officers are investigating the attack, which happened shortly after midnight on Saturday, May 14, and are keen to speak to a man who may have seen it unfold.
The witness is described as a white man, in his mid-20s with short, dark hair.
He was wearing a zip-up hooded top, dark trousers and Nike trainers.
PC Emma Wheeler, of East Kent CID, said: "As with any crime we investigate, we want to get all of the available information we can.
"This man was in the area at the time the assault took place and for that reason we are hoping he will come forward and tell us about anything he saw."
Four people have been charged with causing grievous bodily harm in relation to the assault and are due to appear before Canterbury Crown Court in December.
