Man taken to hospital with upper body injuries after assault in Whitstable

A man was taken to hospital with cuts to his upper body after an assault in Whitstable this afternoon.
Police were called at 3.26pm today following reports of an assault in West Cliff.
The air ambulance and the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended, with the helicopter landing at Whitstable and Seasalter Golf Club.
A man was treated at the scene for his injuries, before being taken to hospital, where he is said to be in a stable condition.
A woman was later arrested in connection with the incident and taken into custody. It is understood the victim and the suspect were known to each other.
