Man taken to hospital following assault in Borstal Hill, Whitstable

A man was taken to hospital following a midnight assault in Whitstable.

Police were called to Borstal Hill at around 12.20am, along with the ambulance service, and found a man with injuries.

The assault is believed to have taken place during a disturbance at the junction with Grimthorpe Avenue, where two cars had pulled over.

The occupants of one car are said to have got out of the vehicle and approached three people in the second car, two of which reported being assaulted.

Detectives have arrested a 22-year-old man from Canterbury in connection with the incident.

Enquiries remain ongoing into the full circumstances.

They are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
