Whitstable: Man arrested in Folkestone after alleged samurai sword incident

A man has been arrested after being spotted in a car allegedly with a Samurai sword.
Police were called just after 2pm yesterday to reports of a man in possession of a "bladed object" in Gladstone Road, Whitstable.
Armed officers attended as a precaution. making inquiries to locate the driver and the vehicle he was travelling in.
He was traced to a flat in Folkestone where police are said to have seized the samurai sword, arresting him on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon.
The 37-year-old remains in police custody.
